H.E. the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alfonso Dastis, met with H.E. the Ambassador of Qatar in Spain during the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of Casa Árabe in its headquarters in Cordoba. Other participants include the Director of Casa Árabe, Pedro Antonio Villena Pérez, and the governor of Cordoba, María Isabel Ambrosio Palos, and the Arab Ambassadors in Spain who form Casa Árabe’s Diplomatic council.
The Celebrations started by a visit to the Mosque of Cordoba, followed by a visit to Casa Árabe’s headquarters in the city. H.E. Mr. Dastis gave a welcome speech. Then both the director of Casa Árabe and the governor of Cordoba gave a speech highlighting the important cultural heritage of the city. Finally, the visit concluded with a work lunch.
Casa Árabe’s mission is to boost political relations between Spain and the Arab world, and to support cooperation in the economic, cultural and educational fields.
